The infrastructure enterprises
cannot afford to lose.

Twenty plus years running enterprise IT infrastructure and operations across construction and mining, clinical research, pharma, manufacturing, and education. Most recently a 450+ site environment of 8,000+ users and 3,000+ servers.

THE THESIS

Modernization is not the hard part.
Doing it without an outage is.

Any team can stand up new platforms. The work that matters happens when thousands of users, an ERP, and a compliance calendar are all live at once, and the environment still has to move forward. That is the job: mature service management from reactive to proactive, harden disaster recovery, and cut cost, all while the business never feels the seams.

RUN IT LIKE REVENUE DEPENDS ON IT

3,000 systems moved. Still in production.

A full migration off a legacy Oracle Supercluster into two Uptime Institute Tier IV data centers, run without losing the business a day of operations.

SCALE
3,000 systems relocated off an end of life Oracle Supercluster into two geographically separated Tier IV facilities.
COST
Annual infrastructure run-rate cut from $7.1M to $6M, roughly $1.1M returned to the business every year.
DURABILITY
The platform went live on schedule and remains in production today, carrying the enterprise workload.
ABOUT

Modernize a live enterprise without losing a minute of it.

For 20+ years, my work has sat where enterprise infrastructure meets operations: environments where thousands of users need reliable systems, compliance is not optional, and downtime is measured in dollars per minute. That work has run across construction and mining, clinical research, pharma, manufacturing, and education.

Most recently at Martin Marietta, running a 450+ site environment of 8,000+ users and 3,000+ servers across the US, Canada, and the Bahamas, my team migrated 3,000 systems off a legacy Oracle Supercluster into two Tier IV data centers, cutting annual run-rate from $7.1M to $6M while it stayed in production. Disaster recovery went from a 48 hour recovery time objective to 29, and a 4 hour recovery point objective to 15 minutes.

Beyond the migration, the environment matured through ITIL service management, Ansible and AIOps automation, and Zero Trust cloud landing zones designed with the CISO. It cleared annual SOX IT general control audits, aligned to ISO 27001, and carried a $6M budget that finished about $425K under plan each year.

Now providing fractional CIO services through Tristero Technologies while exploring Director, Senior Director, and VP roles in IT Infrastructure and Operations at enterprise scale. MBA in Information Systems, UNC Wilmington. AWS, Azure, and CSM certified.
